Latrell and Cody announcement.

Seems like Cody til 2025 and Mitchell to 2027

Mitchell and Walker Extend

The South Sydney Rabbitohs are delighted to announce the contract extensions of representative players Latrell Mitchell and Cody Walker today.
Indigenous All Stars, Australian Kangaroos and New South Wales representative Latrell Mitchell has recommitted to the Rabbitohs until at least the end of the 2027 season, while Indigenous All Stars and New South Wales representative Cody Walker has extended his contract until at least the end of the 2025 season.

2027! That’s huge.

Thats him tied up beyond Murray, and through to his age 29/30 season.

As we should, we’re building the club around our highest talent player, I.e Trell.

With Murray being on board till at least 2025, it is feeing a lot like a different take on the GI and Sam show that came previously. :)

Let’s hope they have even more success.

JD must be pinching himself.

A prelim his first year coaching, and that team’s best 13 locked up for a further 2 seasons without interruption (bar Tom Burgess who is currently off end of this year).

Plus you have the spine and Murray locked down till 2025.

Certainly frees the team up to concentrate on winning premierships over the next 2-3 season.

Well done Souths brainstrust.

1. Mitchell 2027
2. Johnston 2025
3. Graham 2024
4. Tass or Karapani 2024
5. Thompson 2024
6. Walker 2025
7. Ilias 2025
8. Tatola 2024
9. Cook 2025
10. Burgess 2023

Looks good.

I would like to see us strengthen our wing/centre position in case Tass, Karapani or Thompson dont quite work out.

Well, you won't be wiping the smile off my face anytime soon! Absolutely over the moon to have this finally announced, couldn't be happier!!! Hearing these two talk about the club with such passion and say how it's home makes me emotional and it shows just how much it means to them.

It's also a huge sign of where the club is at and where we're headed. These guys probably could have gone anywhere and probably got more money but there's nowhere else they'd rather be.

Man, I just hope we can get that number one goal this year and/or over the next few, both Cody and Trell seem to be burning for it!

So stoked!! Good times ahead!

A great day to be a Rabbitoh alright!!

Healthiest I've ever seen Souths in my entire life.

Consider the period from 1964 through to 1972, that was 9 years.

Consider 1949 to 1957, that's 9 years

Consider 2012 to now, it's coming up to 12 years and it's looking to be a very rosy future.

Naturally people would argue we won Premierships galore in those other 2 times but that was in a 10 and 12 team comp. Wasn't the national competition and overall spread we have these days.

Looking very good, amazing!
